Coming this January, Bixby’s First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry will begin The Gospel Project® every Sunday night from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. The Gospel Project® for Kids tells a single story—the story of Jesus and His mission to seek out and restore lost people to God. Each book, chapter, and verse of the Bible in both the Old Testament and the New Testament is part of that one overarching gospel narrative. From cover to cover, it’s all about Jesus. (Lk. 24:27) He is the thread woven throughout the pages of Scripture that holds it all together.
The Gospel Project® for Kids is a curriculum designed to guide children on a chronological journey through the Bible—from Genesis to Revelation—to encounter Jesus and learn the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. The goal is not for kids to know more about God, but instead it is for them to know Him more. To truly understand the story of salvation is to discover God’s missionary heart. And discovering God’s heart will lead kids to love Him more and embrace His invitation to join in the story by sharing Jesus to the world.
Christ-centered Study that helps kids understand that all Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, gives testimony to Jesus Christ.
Chronological Study that shows kids that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
Missional Application that helps kids understand how the gospel encourages and empowers us to be mission driven.
Age Alignment that gives churches the ability to build an age-aligned discipleship experience throughout the body and equip parents to lead spiritual conversations in the home.
Essential Doctrines that help kids grasp essential theological doctrines of the Christian faith.
